As we look back on the joys, growth, and unforgettable moments of 2025, our hearts are filled with gratitude for the amazing campers and loyal clients who continue to shape Sunland Acres into the loving community it is today.

This past year brought incredible momentum for our team. We strengthened our Board and Train program, expanded our weekly Basic Obedience group classes, adding in an enrichment activity program for all campers, and welcomed wonderful new team members who quickly became part of the Sunland family. We continued to upgrade our facility and refine our procedures to give every guest the highest level of care. Meeting so many new campers and clients, sharing joy through enrichment, and building a stronger, more connected community truly made this year special.

In 2025, we reinforced our long-established core values, Safety, Trust, Compassion & Patience, and Gratitude, ensuring they remain at the center of everything we do. These values continue to shape Sunland Acres into the best version of itself as we enter our milestone year ahead.

Our story began in 1976, when Marjorie and her husband opened Sunland Acres with a vision of creating a safe, happy place for pets to thrive. After 35 dedicated years, ownership passed to Lynn, whose belief that every dog matters can be felt in every corner of the campground. A Jacksonville native with over four decades in the pet care industry, Lynn empowers her team to go above and beyond for every guest.

Now, as we step into 2026, our 50th anniversary year, we’re excited to celebrate this incredible milestone with a huge community celebration coming this June.
